“Eliana.” The way he growls my name has the heat rushing through my core between my legs. It sounds so sexy and forbidden. I trap a moan behind my lips through sheer force of will. I run my fingers down my leg towards my–
Mallrie’s hand catches my wrist. “Eliana!” His voice is stern and a little… panicked?
My eyes snap open as Mallrie jumps from the bath. Water bubbles around me, but it doesn’t feel hot. I look up at Mallrie with his back to me, his body pink from the heat as he wraps a towel around himself.
I know I shouldn’t laugh, and I try so hard not to. Mallrie angles an eyebrow at me. “Something funny?”
I can’t hold it in any longer. A fit of giggles ruptures from my lips as I slip back into the warm water.
Did I seriously just… boil the bath?
Another wave of hysterical laughter bubbles up and out of me. I cannot remember the last time I laughed like this. It feels so good that my chest hurts and my cheeks ache.
